In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Ristivojevic stressed that the US was utterly wrong in its assessment that Serbia’s resistance would last a day and be nothing more than an insignificant expression of resentment, after which everything would be all right.
He pointed out that having miscalculated the situation in the Balkans, the US has caused a crisis by recognising a fictitious state on Serbia’s soil, adding that the region may be stabile again only if the US annuls the illegal decision to recognise the fictitious Kosovo state.
Ristivojevic concluded that it would be much better if the US corrects this huge and serious mistake now, rather than later when the total damage to the region becomes comparatively greater.
