The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy stated today it has started preparations for issuing social cards to the Serb and non-Albanian population in Kosovo-Metohija so that state assistance can reach those categories of the population in greatest need.
Minister Rasim Ljajic and his associates will go to Gracanica on February 27 to meet with directors of eight social care centres in the southern province to discuss the programme for the poorest citizens of Kosovo-Metohija.
Coordinator for implementation of the Ministry’s action plan is Assistant Minister Bojan Andjelkovic.
Under the Decision by the government, this Ministry will be in charge of all social benefit payments in Kosovo-Metohija, according to a statement.
