Appearing on television B92, Djelic stated that since Serbia recalled its ambassadors from these countries, it is now on them to decide whether they will do the same when it comes to their ambassadors to Belgrade.
He stressed that Serbia must react astutely and make decisions that will strengthen its capacities for defending Kosovo-Metohija.
He most harshly condemned the violence and attacks against people of other nationalities which took place in the past two days and stressed that those who exercise violence act against Serbia’s interests.
Djelic emphasised that he received the report from the Ministry of Interior which clearly shows that the police did all it could to prevent violence.
As for the announced mass protest to be held in Belgrade, organised by the government and some political parties, Djelic said that this will be a test to see whether the gathering will be a demonstration of solidarity or whether a different picture will be sent out to the world.
