In a statement to the news agency Tanjug, Bubalo said that yesterday’s unilateral declaration of independence by the southern Serbian province will not affect economic relations between Serbia and Kosovo-Metohija.
We must, above all, take care of the people who recognise Serbia as a state and are loyal to Serbia and whose only country is Serbia. We cannot punish them because of a certain part of the population, said the Minister.
According to Bubalo, the issue of Kosovo-Metohija has not been settled yet, and Serbia cannot impose an economic embargo against a part of its territory, particularly not at the moment when no one has recognised this fictitious state.
