Serbian Minister of Infrastructure Velimir Ilic said today in Gracanica that the state will continue to help Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija and announced formation of funds for additional assistance.

Ilic said that funds will be filled with profits from collection of duties on products such as tobacco and alcohol.
The Minister for Infrastructure and representatives of the Office for Implementation of the National Investment Plan (NIP) Branko Jankovic and Mladjan Djordjevic promised to set aside €8,000 from the NIP for the purchase of a machine necessary for the work of a female sewing workshop in the Avenue Association in Laplje Selo.
Commending the private entrepreneurship of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, Ilic said that the state will continue helping Kosovo Serbs because if they do not have means for living there, they will leave the province.
Ilic said that Serbia will set aside RSD 50 million from the budget for construction of a high school in Laplje Selo, which is one of dozen Serbian villages near Pristina still populated by Serbs.
He will lay a cornerstone for construction of 70 houses for internally displaced persons in the village of Badovac, near Gracanica.
