Speaking to the press in the House of Parliament, Djelic said that the use of any kind of force or violence is not in the interest of Serbian citizens since that would definitely separate Kosovo from Serbia.
He said that the aforementioned measures will be of a bilateral nature since the EU is not a state and as such cannot recognise the independence of Kosovo-Metohija.
Due to this we can continue relations with Brussels and the process of European integration, said Djelic. He announced that on February 17, he will visit Strpce, in order to give support to Serbs and other citizens who consider Serbia to be their homeland and recommended to them to stay in the province.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that they should know that Serbia will never forget them and will never give up Kosovo-Metohija.
Serbia wants to be in the EU with Kosovo-Metohija within its borders, said Djelic and added that there are those who are trying to create an artificial difference between these two processes.
According to Djelic, only a strong European Serbia will be able to defend its national, economic and security interests in Kosovo-Metohija.
