Serbian Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Slobodan Samardzic and his associates held a meeting today with all regional and municipal coordinators from Kosovo-Metohija.
The Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija says in a statement that the meeting looked at the current political situation in the province, particularly the state’s activities and the role of regional and municipal coordinators if Kosovo’s provisional institutions unilaterally declare the province’s independence.
They agreed to do all they can to help the Serbs in the province remain on their land and live freely as citizens of Serbia even if it comes to the unilateral declaration of independence.
The participants unanimously concluded that this segment of Serbia’s state policy is crucial for the preservation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, reads the statement and adds that the meeting is part of the Ministry’s regular activities.
