Todoric said that after first meetings with representatives of the European Commission it was concluded that Serbia's administration and technical expert equipment are far beyond current political relations between Serbia and the EU, and the team that is working on the preparation of framework conditions for visa relaxations was highly commended for its work.
According to him, the European Commission will make the draft of the road map towards the White Schengen List for the Republic of Serbia, which the EU Council of Ministers should adopt in May.
He pointed out that if the country manages to fulfil all that has been agreed on, it will be included in the White Schengen List by the end of the year at the latest and added that the government delegation was assured that the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) will not be precondition for Serbia’s progress toward the White Schengen List, which is good.
Still, we feel sorry because we cannot expect to sign the SAA in the near future, although we are ready to do so any time we get the offer, said Todoric.
