Djilas told the Tanjug news agency that, with the consent of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija, the Serbian government adopted that proposal in order to enable Serbian agricultural producers in Kosovo-Metohija to secure the sale of their products.
He said that along with security issues and economic instability, one of the biggest problems in Kosovo-Metohija is unemployment, and added that these are the reasons why he presented this project, which the government has agreed to carry out.
During the upcoming few months it is planned that a company, preferably state owned, should be selected to buy up the agricultural produce, or a new company might be formed for this purpose, said Djilas.
The Minister said that transporting agricultural produce from the enclaves will be a problem, but the state will make sure that people living in Kosovo-Metohija are able to sell their products.
