Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said today that on January 25 the Serbian government will sign a strategic agreement with the Russian government on cooperation in the energy sector, which is in the interest of all Serbian citizens, as well as beneficial for Serbia’s economic development.
In a written statement to the media, Kostunica said that with regard to signing the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, the EU must choose whether it will sign the agreement or illegally send a mission to dismember Serbia.
If this agreement is to be in the interest of Serbia and its citizens, it must be in line with the founding principles of international law, which means the EU must stand down from its attempt to send the mission, as well as unequivocally support Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its current internationally recognised borders, stressed Kostunica.
