Serbian Minister of Education Zoran Loncar said that the Serbian government expects that at today's meeting of foreign ministers of Slovenia, Germany, Great Britain, Italy and France, together with EU commissioners for enlargement and foreign policy to be held at Brdo Pri Kranju in Slovenia, the proposal on illegal sending of an EU mission to Kosovo-Metohija will be rejected.

Loncar said to Tanjug news agency that as far as last year the UN Security Council (SC) rejected a draft resolution on sending an EU mission for implementation of Ahtisaari’s plan to Kosovo.
Since the proposal on sending the mission failed in the UN SC, then no one, including the EU, can entitle itself to bring decisions that go directly against the UN, Loncar said.
The EU must respect decisions of the UN SC and international law, Loncar underlined.
The real and only goal of sending an EU mission is to create a fake state on 15% of Serbia's territory, in line with Ahtisaari's plan, Loncar said and recalled that for that reason Serbian parliament concluded that deployment of an EU mission would be an act of violation of sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order of Serbia.
It is clear that the EU must respect internationally recognised borders of Serbia, and not violate its sovereignty and territorial unity. That is why it is necessary that the EU abandon its decision to send a mission to Kosovo-Metohija illegally, Loncar underlined.
