Energy agreement with Russia of inestimable importance to Serbia

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said that the Serbian government is carefully and patiently working on reaching an agreement with Russia and stressed that the agreement on strategic cooperation in the field of energy will be signed in the best interest of Serbia and all Serbian citizens.

Kostunica said that things are going in the right direction, and the Serbian government’s chief aim is to secure a clear economic future and development. He expressed conviction that the Serbian government and Russia will reach an agreement on strategic cooperation in the area of energy.
Benefits to be gained from this agreement for Serbia, Serbian citizens and the entire national economy are inestimable, since this is strategic cooperation which will guarantee secure and stable economic development during the upcoming decades, said the Serbian Prime Minister.
