At today’s meeting, Djilas said that works on that sector are being jointly financed by the Republic of Serbia and the City of Belgrade. He specified that a total of RSD 4.5 billion will be set aside; RSD 2.5 billion from the NIP and RSD 2 billion from the Belgrade city budget.
On behalf of the Serbian government he guaranteed that payments to contractors will be made on time, while they pledged that the works will be completed within the deadline.
The minister said that it was agreed at the meeting that part of the road from Ostruznica to the Ibar highway can be opened for traffic in May already and that all works can be completed by Octobera, when the reconstruction of Gazela bridge will begin.
The ring road is one of the most important projects for the Serbian government, Djilas said and added that the funds secured, together with loans of the European Investment Bank, will be sufficient for the works to be completed even faster than planned.
Representative of Mostogradnja construction company said that four out of five bridges will be completed by August, whose total value is RSD 950 million.
