Serbian Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac talked today, in separate meetings held in Skopje, with Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovksi and Defence Minister Lazar Elenovski on the situation in the region and relations between the two countries.
In a statement to the news agency Beta, Sutanovac said that regardless of the tensions and problems which exist in the region, it was concluded in these meetings that the condition is stable which is in the interest of both Serbia and Macedonia.
He said that there are a number of activities in which armies and defence ministries of the two countries are interested and added that he expects cooperation will be continued to improve regional security.
Sutanovac attended the funeral of 11 soldiers of the Macedonian Army who were killed in a recent helicopter accident.
