The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Serbian Privatisation Agency, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, as well as MP Munir Poturak.
Together with ministry representatives, Djelic pledged short term financial assistance for workers, in the amount of RSD 20,000 per employee. This proposal will be put forward at the government’s session this week.
The next step in resolving the situation will be taken by the Privatisation Agency and the Ministry of Justice by announcing a public sale of the holding company in entirety, which is expected to take place by the end of February, in order to find the most appropriate strategic partner.
The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister called upon employees to cooperate and to attend all future meetings.
