Media Advisor to the Serbian Prime Minister Srdjan Djuric criticised today a statement by Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel that it is a falsehood that the EU faces the dilemma of choosing between signing the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) with Serbia and sending a mission to Kosovo-Metohija.
In a statement to the news agency Beta, Djuric said that it would have been better if Rupel had not taken the liberty to speak on Serbia’s behalf.
Rupel will see on January 28 if the dilemma that EU must choose between signing the SAA with Serbia or the decision to send a mission for implementing Ahtisaari’s rejected plan is false or not, stressed Djuric.
He said that Serbia has its own legitimate representative institutions which bring decisions on Serbia’s behalf. Rupel could at least be polite and respect this fact and bear in mind that he, or Slovenia, cannot and never will be able to speak in Serbia’s name.
