“I send heartfelt greetings to His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle, bishops, the clergy, monks and all believers of the Serbian Orthodox Church on this great celebration of the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our families come together to observe Christmas, the most joyful of Christian celebrations. Our thoughts and hearts will be in the homes of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, the common cradle of the Serbian nation.
We can build the future of our country only upon true values and virtues, on justice and respect of others’ rights, but without forgetting self respect and defence of the rights of the Serbian people and our country. It is only with unity that we can safeguard Serbia and secure a better and safer future for all citizens of our country.
I wish everyone much success and family happiness, health and progress and I wish the days of this celebration to be spent in peace, love and mutual respect.
Peace from God – Christ is born,” reads the Prime Minister’s greeting.
