Media Advisor to the Serbian Prime Minister Srdjan Djuric said today that the US continues to openly exert pressure for a unilateral declaration of the independence of Kosovo-Metohija, in order to realise US interests through the Annex 11 of Martti Ahtisaari’s rejected plan.
In a statement to the news agency Tanjug, commenting on the statement by spokesman of the US State Department Tom Casey that the US and many in the international community consider that the time has come to determine the status of Kosovo-Metohija in accordance with the plan presented by Ahtisaari, Djuric said that the State Department is persistently repeating that it will act in direct violation of the UN SC Resolution 1244 and the UN Charter.
According to Djuric, thus the US will take sole responsibility for undermining international order, and peace and stability in the region.
