The prices of goods increased by 1.7% and the prices of services by 0.3%. If compared with December 2006 the retail prices increased by 10.1%.
In 2007, when compared to 2006, the retail prices increased on average by 6.8 %.
The consumer price index in December 2007 increased by 1.5% on average if compared to the previous month. Compared with December 2006, the consumer price index increased by 11.9%.
Compared with 2006, the consumer price index in 2007 increased on average by 7.0 %. The difference between the retail price index and the consumer price index resulted from the various influences that the growth of prices of particular items had on these indices.
Observed by groups of products and in relation to the previous month, the following trends were noted in December 2007: the prices of agricultural goods saw a 3.7% increase, which resulted from the increased prices of seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as the increased prices of eggs, the prices of industrial food products increased by 2.3% on average.
The prices of drinks increased by 0.6% on average, the prices of tobacco increased by 5.7% on average, the prices of industrial non-food products increased by 0.9% on average.
In this group of products, the prices of oil derivatives increased. The prices of other products remained unchanged.
The prices of services increased by 0.3% on average.
