Slobodan Samardzic
In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Samardzic stressed that this policy is conducted outside the UN and recalled that at the UN Security Council session a few days ago, US-led countries disabled the continuation of negotiations on the Kosovo-Metohija future status.
He said that the US in fact debarred the reaching of a compromise solution and thus opted for a violent and imposed solution to Kosovo-Metohija.
The Minister emphasised that Serbia will not accept it, as well as the largest number of other countries in the world, some of which are great international powers.
According to Samardzic, the worst case scenario would be that the UN Secretariat, led by the Secretary General, succumbs to these pressures and blackmails exerted by the US.
Samardzic said that even worse would be if UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon dares to breach the UN Security Council rules of office and self-willingly invites another peace mission to substitute the UNMIK in Kosovo-Metohija.
Something like that would really be unacceptable, and what is more, it would be an open breach of the UN system. In that case, it will be expected if powerful countries in the world react to that, warned Samardzic.
He voiced hope that the Secretary General will not infringe his competencies and the UN rules of office, as well as that further process of resolving Kosovo-Metohija future status will still be lead within the UN System.
