The award for the best corporate brand for 2007 went to the Serbian oil industry. The second place was won by the company Agroziv from Pancevo, and the third by Grand Prom from Belgrade. A special award in this category was given to the Belgrade Military Academy.
The award for the best trade mark was won by the mineral water “Knjaz Milos”, second place was won by the company Soko Nada Stark for Smoki, and the third by Dijamant for the margarine Dobro Jutro.
Awards in the category of best foreign brands were won by the companies Messer Technogas, OMV, Henkel Merima, Carlsberg Serbia and the Raiffeisen Bank. Judgment criteria were new investment, number of employees and partnership with domestic firms.
Best brands in the services sector were Jat Airways, Pink Media Group, Novi Sad Fair, DDOR Novi Sad and Komercijalna Banka.
Bubalo, who presided over the jury for the presentation of awards, stressed that it is the task of the state to create an atmosphere for good business, while the rest is up to the companies.
The Minister said that estimation of businesses and profit is more important than looking for the best product since that is in the jurisdiction of the consumer.
He said that branding Serbia is very important and added that companies and state should work together in this area.
The event was organised by the Ministry of Trade and Services in cooperation with business newspaper “Pregled” and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
