Kubis told Samardzic that Slovakia will not acknowledge unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo in a meeting in New York.
Samardzic told journalists that Kubis said that a decisive attempt to save the process awaits us tomorrow.
He stressed that with Russian and Chinese support, Serbia will propose continuation of Kosovo status negotiations, but warned that there is a danger from an unilateral solution.
He also told Kubis that any mission of the EU without Serbia’s consent and without a decision by the UN Security Council is unacceptable as that is part of Marti Ahtisaari’s plan envisioning Kosovo’s independence.
The Serbian delegation, also comprising Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica and Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic, will meet today with Italian Foreign Minister and a number of ambassadors of countries UN Security Council members, including the United States, Russia and China.
