Cvetkovic said in a counselling of economists at the Economics Faculty in Belgrade that the 2008 budget proposal envisions the financing for Kosovo-Metohija in the amount of around RSD 32 billion distributed by ministries.
He said that the 2008 draft budget has nothing to do with upcoming elections noting that the budget was created to establish a balance.
Public debt in the first ten months of this year was reduced by around €300 million and now stands below 30% of GDP, Cvetkovic said.
According to him, repayment of old currency savings and payment of old unpaid pensions will be most influential factors on public debt, influencing inflation and public consumption.
The Finance Minister said that structural reforms and privatisation must be intensified in 2008.
