In the first eleven months of the year, prices increased by 9.7% while on the annual level (November 2007 against the same month of 2006) there was a growth of 9.3%.
By groups, the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages saw a growth of 3.2%, transportation prices increased 1.5%, clothes and footwear 1.3% whereas the prices of restaurant and hotel services increased 0.6%.
Other prices did not change significantly.
CPI COICOP presents a special retail prices index that is being calculated according to the methodology that is harmonised with recommendations for retail prices index calculation in the EU (Harmonized Price Index).
CPI COICOP is defined as a measure of average change of retail prices of goods and services used for personal consumption.
