Djuric told Beta news agency that each citizen of Serbia is aware that the decision on unilateral proclamation of independence of Kosovo-Metohija is not made by the Albanian ethnic minority but by the United States.
Commenting on the statement by State Department’s Deputy Spokesman Tom Casey, Djuric said that stability and peace of the whole region directly depend on whether the United States will place the creation of a puppet state on the basis of Annex 11 of Ahtisaari's plan over protection of international law and UN Charter.
Serbia will never recognise an unilateral independence as puppet creation on its own territory. UN SC Resolution 1244, which was also supported by the United States, clearly states that substantial autonomy for Kosovo must be found within Serbia, Djuric noted.
