Conference on preparation of national youth strategy begins

Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Snezana Samardzic-Markovic and head of OSCE Mission in Serbia Hans Ola Urstad opened today a three-day conference on the process of preparation of the national youth strategy.
Samardzic-Markovic said at this event which is being held in the Danube hotel in Sremski Karlovci that Serbia is the only country in this region that does not have such strategy.
She underlined that Serbia must dedicate itself to creating conditions for the young to stay in Serbia, and when they decide to go abroad to do it because of studies, tourism or presentation of their home country.
The Minister said that the first draft of the strategy should be finished by December 15, while the final version should be completed by March 31, 2008.
