The Serbian Privatisation Agency stated that the auction sale of socially-owned capital of the trading company C Market from Belgrade, scheduled for December 21, has been cancelled today.
According to the statement, 16.142% of the total capital of the company was offered on sale. The decision to cancel the sale was brought due to the current situation and the decision by the Committee for Protection of Competition.
The Privatisation Agency considers that such circumstances could seriously jeopardise the sale procedure and violate the principle of free market competition, and as soon as normal market conditions are secured, the agency will consider further steps in the privatisation process.
