Serbian Minister of Interior Dragan Jocic and US Ambassador to Serbia-Montenegro Michael Polt signed today a donation agreement, by which the US administration grants $110,000 in equipment to Serbia’s border police.

Minister Jocic said that this cooperation should continue, stressing that American experinece in the fight agianst terrorism would be useful for Serbian police forces, the Tanjug news agency reported.
He said that the state should prevent the terrorism rather than fight against it once it occurs.
Polt expressed the hope that the US support would also include the collaboration of staff in order to fight against human trafficking, one of the gravest crimes of the 21st century. He said that Serbian special unit for fight against human trafficking closely collaborates with the FBI.
