Samardzic-Markovic, who is heading a Ministry's delegation which is on a visit to Rome at the invitation of the Italian Ministry of Youth and Sports, said that she is impressed with the Olympic stadium in Rome, which has a special part where children socialise with athletes.
She said that during the visit to Italy, she is scheduled to visit the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) and the sports school Acqua Acetosa, and to meet various Italian officials.
During those visits, the Minister will learn more about the work of the Italian Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The Minister said that she will recommend that experts of the Serbian sports institute visit the Italian sports directorate for a few months in order to get familiar with methods they implement in this area.
Samardzic-Markovic said that she will launch the initiative that young people from Serbia spend some time working in regions in Italy to get acquainted with activities of young people in Italy.
According to Samardzic-Markovic, this is the first bilateral visit of representatives of the Serbian Ministry of Youth and Sports to a ministry of the same jurisdiction in an EU country.
