The Serbian Prime Minister’s Media Advisor Srdjan Djuric said today that the proposal of the European mediator in the Contact Group’s troika of envoys, Wolfgang Ischinger, that Kosovo-Metohija should be given a neutral status is based on the example of agreement between two independent German states from 1972 and that Serbia rejects it in advance.
Djuric told Fonet news agency that this practically means that Serbia should be the main creator of an independent Albanian state in its territory.
The other important characteristic of Ischinger's proposal is that in its essence it is practically the same as the proposal of Kosovo Albanians on good neighbourly relations between two independent states.
According to Djuric, it is very important that Russian representative in the troika Alexander Bocan-Harchenko made it clear that Ischinger's proposal is not the troika’s official proposal.
