Representatives of the Serbian government will present to European Commission experts a general economic situation in Serbia, primarily macroeconomic trends, including economic growth, inflation, employment and balance of payments.
They will also discuss this year’s budget policy as well as projected budget for 2008.
Functioning of the market economy in Serbia will be a special topic, followed by privatisation of state-owned enterprises, such as oil company Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) and airliner Jat Airways, as well as the announced restructuring and privatisation of mining and metallurgical complex RTB Bor and car maker Zastava from Kragujevac.
Additional topics of the meeting will cover areas of statistics, capital movement in Serbia and public internal financial monitoring and internal financial auditing.
