The Serbian Statistics Office said today that prices of goods and services in Serbia in October 2007 went up by 0.5% against the previous month.
In the period from January to October, prices grew by 8.2%, while at the annual level (October 2007 against October 2006) a growth of 8.9% was recorded.
The major price increases were that of alcohol and tobacco (1.4%), clothing, footwear, and services in restaurants and hotels (1.3% each), education (1%) and transport (0.9%).
The prices of other goods and services remained at the same level.
