Serbia finishes chairmanship of Council of Europe Committee of Ministers

Serbia today finishes its chairmanship of the Council of Europe (CoE) Committee of Ministers which will be taken over by Slovakia, at a special meeting in Strasbourg of the Committee of Ministers of 47 member states of the oldest European organisation.
Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic will preside over the first part of today's meeting and will summarise the six-month chairmanship of Serbia.
Slovakian Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Kubis will then take over the chairmanship and present his country's priorities for next six months.
The Serbian and Slovakian foreign ministers will hold a press conference together with CoE Secretary-General Terry Davis.
Terry Davis said in Belgrade three days ago that during its six-month chairmanship Serbia has proved that it deserves to wear European colours and that it is really capable of being the European leader.
Jeremic and Kubis will open in the palace of the CoE an exhibition "Slovakian naïve painting from Serbia from the collection from the Babka Gallery", located in the Kovacica village near Belgrade.
