Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Snezana Samardzic-Markovic opened last evening in Valjevo a three day conference of advisory committee members, which will work on drafting a national youth strategy.
Samardzic-Markovic said on the occasion that drafting this strategy is a priority for the Ministry of Youth and Sports and will serve as a basis for resolving the tough problems which challenge young people in Serbia. She added that Serbia is the only country in the region which does not have a national youth strategy.
Drafting of the strategy is a joint struggle for Serbia’s future, she said.
She said that this strategy is a priority not just for the ministry but the entire society.
The advisory committees should make recommendations to the ministry on priorities in the strategy in order to define programmes and activities and include all segments of society in this process.
The committees consist of interested sides from all walks of society as well as international partners.
