Government to settle Ivan Milutinovic debt to Libya

Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Predrag Bubalo met with Libyan Charge d’ Affaires Aisha Mokhtar Trhuni today to discuss ways to resolve the problems of Serbian construction company Ivan Milutinovic – PIM after Libyan authorities collected forcibly part of the company’s equipment to settle their receivables.

Bubalo said that the Serbian government will set aside $2 million to help Ivan Milutinovic – PIM repay its debt and resume contracted deals.
The government has already paid €250,000 to settle the company’s most critical debts and put an end to property collection, said Bubalo.
The Minister added that he is ready to visit Libya and convey the government’s position that Serbia is ready to continue cooperation with local authorities.
