Kostunica strongly supports efforts to preserve Republika Srpska

Media Advisor to the Serbian Prime Minister Srdjan Djuric said today that Vojislav Kostunica strongly supports Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and all institutions of that entity in their efforts to preserve Republika Srpska in line with the Dayton Accords.

Djuric told the Beta news agency that we are witnessing how, through a policy of force and imposing solutions, attempts are made to annul both the Dayton Accords and UN Resolution 1244 on Kosovo-Metohija at the same time.
There is no doubt that there is an essential connection between attempts to impose the solution of Martti Ahtisaari for Kosovo and the attempts of EU High Representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina Miroslav Lajcak to impose the abolishment of Republika Srpska.
He said that Serbia is a signatory of the Dayton Accords and that it will strongly support institutions of Republika Srpska in their efforts to keep its status as outlined in the Dayton Accords.
Instead of contributing to stabilisation and development of Republika Srpska, by trying to impose a solution Lajcak created a deep crisis and bears the greatest responsibility for all possible consequences of that crisis, Djuric said. He added that that is why Lajcak must either retract his decisions or withdraw from the position of high representative.
