Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović met today with Ambassador of Switzerland to Serbia Anne Lugon-Moulin to discuss Serbia’s European integration process, as well as bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Starović expressed gratitude to Switzerland for its significant financial support to reform processes in Serbia, which are not only part of the EU accession process but, above all, contribute to the wellbeing of all citizens even prior to EU membership.
The Minister underlined that the very fact that the Government of Switzerland has allocated approximately CHF 88 million to Serbia for the period from 2026 to 2029 for these purposes represents, for Serbia, an indicator of strategic partnership and the country’s consistent support for Serbia’s European path.
The interlocutors agreed that the two governments’ shared objective is for this development assistance to contribute to inclusive development and the acceleration of European integration, by supporting further institutional development, strengthening the economy – particularly the private sector – as well as accelerating Serbia’s green transformation.
