New talks on Kosovo status start in Vienna

The third round of direct negotiations between representatives of Belgrade and Pristina on the future status of Kosovo will be held in Vienna, with the mediation of the Contact Group's troika.

The Serbian state negotiating team is led by Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic and Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Slobodan Samardzic.
The talks which are being held at the building of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will last from 9.30 am to 5 pm and will be guided by representatives of the EU, the US and Russia – Wolfgang Ischinger, Frank Wisner and Alexandar Bocan-Harchenko.
After separate consultations of delegations of Belgrade and Pristina with the mediating troika, a joint meeting will be held at which representatives of the Serbian authorities and the interim institutions of the provincial self-government will present their proposals for the future status of Kosovo.
