Samardzic said that the Serbian state negotiating team will read the paper thoroughly and react accordingly.
He also said that three negotiating meetings have been envisaged for November.
The last meeting in November could last two or three days so that we could have enough time to summarise our proposals and find joint bases, after which the troika will present the report. We will then see whether there is enough space for the continuation of negotiations, stressed Minister Samardzic.
He added it will not be possible to reach the solution in the course of the four meetings; therefore it is consequential that the troika composes a fair report.
Following the report, the UN Security Council should react and decide on the continuation of talks, or issue a statement of the presidency, resolution or something else. Whatever happens after the troika’s report is issued, it should take place in the UN Security Council. The council is the body which should determine the further course of the process, said Samardzic.
The best and positive solution would be to continue with the communication and reach a joint solution, he added.
Also present at the presentation of the “The Kosovo Compromise” project were Advisor to the Serbian President Aleksandar Simic and project director Aleksandar Mitic, as well as the EU and NATO officials, diplomats and political analysts.
