Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic stated today that during negotiations on the Kosovo-Metohija future status, Belgrade is ready to give up 95% of competencies to Pristina, except those which concern the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia.
Jeremic confirmed that the first point on the agenda in the forthcoming talks between Belgrade and Pristina, to be held in Brussels on October 14, will be the plan on Kosovo-Metohija’s substantial autonomy which Belgrade is offering.
According to Jeremic, this is the first time that a Serbian delegation has had the chance to conduct direct discussions with Pristina and talk about modalities in Serbia’s plan on substantial autonomy.
Talks will primarily concern the division of competencies, concluded Jeremic.
