Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica has sent a telegram of condolences following the death of Republika Srpska President Milan Jelic to Republika Srpska Prime Minister Milorad Dodik and citizens of Republika Srpska.

Republika Srpska lost its president, and Serbia lost its friend. The Serbian government and the whole Serbian people are in mourn for the President of Republika Srpska. We worked together and made big plans to the benefit of Serbia and Srpska. We are grateful for all that President Jelic did; his family and the citizens of Srpska can be proud of their president at this difficult and painful moment, reads the telegram of the Prime Minister.
