Decisions on establishment of the CEFTA Secretariat as well as the formation of CEFTA Sub-Committees were brought by member countries at the meeting.
Dinkic said at today’s meeting that cooperation in the areas of investment is important in the next phase of development of relations between CEFTA member countries. He stressed that all investors in Serbia, foreign or domestic, are treated equally, according to the agreement.
The Minister stressed that it is important that in the upcoming period, besides cooperation in trade, Serbia should make direct investments in countries where Serbian businesspeople are interested in investing.
The Serbian delegation held bilateral meetings with counterparts from Macedonia and Croatia, where ways to improve economic mutual cooperation were discussed.
Implementation of CEFTA is of extraordinary importance for Serbia since 30% of Serbian imports are to countries, who are members of CEFTA, and during the previous year export to these countries was worth $2 billion, concludes the statement.
