Serbia’s GDP grows 8% in H1

The Serbian Statistics Office stated today that Serbia’s GDP rose 8% in the first half 2007 when compared with the same period last year.
GDP in the second quarter of the year stood at RSD 334,471.3 million, which is a growth of 7.7% compared with the same period of 2006.
By sectors, the largest growth was recorded in transportation (21.4%), financial transactions (20%), trade (19.3%) hotels and restaurants (12.2%), construction (9.6%), production of electrical power (7.5%) and processing industry (4.4%).
