The Serbian Statistics Office stated that the average gross salary in Serbia in August this year stood at RSD 39,302 and compared to July is nominally up by 1.52%, and in real terms less by 1.44%.
The average net salary in August was RSD 28,143, which compared to the average net salary paid out in July, is nominally up by 1.41% and in real terms less by 1.54%.
The average gross salary paid out in Serbia in August this year compared to the average gross salary in August 2006 was nominally larger by 22.44%, and up by 14.54% in real terms.
The average August net salary in Serbia in August 2007 was nominally up by 28.36%, and in real terms up by 20.70% against the average net salary in August 2006.
The average gross salary paid out in Serbia in the period from January to August this year, compared to the average gross salary in the same period in 2006, was nominally up by 23.12%, and in real terms by 17.93%.
The average net salary in the period from January to August 2007, compared to the average net salary in the same period in 2006, was nominally up by 29.01% and in real terms by 23.57%, concludes the statement.
