Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica extended his greetings to members of the Jewish community in Serbia on the occasion of Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year.

“To all members of the Jewish community in Serbia I most sincerely congratulate Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, wishing them to celebrate this big holiday in good health, true welfare and spiritual joy.
The Jewish community has always contributed to the spirit of tolerance through active participation and having mutual understanding and respect for members of other religious communities, as well as cultural and social life in our country,” reads the Prime Minister’s greeting.
