Academic discussions can fundamentally contribute to Kosovo-Metohija solution

Assistant Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Ljubomir Kljakic who took part at the conference titled “Kosovo Problem” in Tel Aviv yesterday, organised by BESA Begin-Sadat Centre for Strategic Studies and Bar-Ilan University, Department of Political Studies, that the conference was very successful and that it gave many ideas of how the Kosovo-Metohija issue could be solved.
Kljakic told Tanjug news agency that academic discussions can fundamentally contribute to solving the Kosovo-Metohija issue as well as better understanding of the current crisis.
Such conferences can reflect on the problem more subtly and with more nuances and to offer way out of the crisis rather than standard political discussions, Kljakic explained.
He said he agreed with eminent experts that the Kosovo-Metohija issue should be taken out of the bureaucratic system.
The conference was addressed by numerous international affairs experts from Israel, Europe and the US, including representatives of the diplomatic corps, Serbian Ambassador to Israel Mile Isakov with associates and representatives of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
