Government rejects any possibility of Kosovo-Metohija partition

Director of the Serbian government’s Office of Media Relations Milivoje Mihajlovic said today that the information conveyed by some Albanian media in Pristina that Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica has presented a secret proposal the regarding partition of Kosovo-Metohija in a European capital is completely devoid of sense.

In a statement for Avala TV, Mihajlovic said that this is an attempt, like countless previous attempts, that the wish of Kosovo Albanians to divide Kosovo-Metohija be attributed to Serbia.
According to Mihajlovic, the Serbian government has a clear stand and wishes to find a solution based on compromise which is in accordance with international law through direct negotiations, without conditions and deadlines in the negotiation process.
The Serbian government has not considered, is not considering and does not accept the possibility of partition of Kosovo-Metohija, stressed Mihajlovic.
