NIN weekly to be sold in a tender

The Serbian Privatisation Agency has stated that it called off the auction sale of weekly NIN from Belgrade scheduled for September 27.
Following requests of some shareholders and bearing in mind that NIN is one of Serbia’s oldest and most respectable political weeklies that significantly influence public and political life in the country, it was suggested that NIN be sold in a tender.
The tender sale is expected to be announced soon, the agency said adding that NIN's traditional book award will be preserved as well.
The tender is expected to attract strong strategic investors, the Agency said.
