Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic met with Italian Deputy Minister of Productive Activities Adolfo Urso in Rome today to discuss Italian investment in Serbian road construction, railway network, telecommunications and airport infrastructure.
A Serbian delegation, headed by Ilic, is on a two-day visit to Italy where it will meet with representatives of Italian companies and organisations to discuss ways to bolster investment in Serbia, the Tanjug news agency reported.
In 2003, the foreign trade volume between the two countries hit €1.3 billion. At the same time, Italy increased the volume of investment and became the fifth-largest foreign investor in Serbia.
As part of his visit to Italy, Ilic will meet with Italian Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Pietro Lunardi, as well as representatives of satellite operator Telespazio and officials of the Anas road construction company.
