According to the statement, the Public Purchase Commission decided that two bids were submitted, and both are technically valid.
The bids were submitted by the following companies: a joint bid by BNP Paribas SA, Innova-Aviation Consulting LlC, Gide Loyrette Nouel, BDO BC Excel & Tekon.
Technical consulting and joint bid by: Rothschild & CIE, Clyde & CO LLP, Citadel financial advisory, Aviation Economics and Dekonta.
The Public Purchase Commission will, with the Serbian government, prepare a report on the implemented procedure of public purchase, and the government will bring the final decision regarding the selection of the best bid.
After the decision by the government, all bidders will be informed on the selection in the manner prescribed by the Law on Public Purchase.
The decision regarding the procedure of public purchase of consultancy services for preparation and implementation of the privatisation strategy of Jat Airways, was brought by the Serbian government on July 26, and the deadline period for selection of the advisor is 70 days.
In keeping with the legal principles for securing competition in accordance with the said decision, an invitation for submitting bids was sent to addresses of 24 bidders: Rothschild, UBS, Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas SA, HSBC Bank plc, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup Inc, Merrill Lynch, Lazard, ABN AMRO, Deutsch Bank AG, Deloitte, Lehman Brothers, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Corp Fin, Ernst & Young, Societe General, Dresdner Klinwort, JP Morgan, KPMG Corp Fin, Macquarue Bank Ltd (MBL), M&A International Inc, ING, Credit Suisse and CAYLON.
